Some Very Cool Ice Pilots
This video shows some clips from Just Planes latest release on Buffalo Airways C-46 and DC-4's which they operate in Northern Canada. What can I say? What these guys do on a daily basis is amazing. Check out at 6:40 in the video where they are at a small airstrip in and they have an engine failure and have to take-off with just 3 engines instead of 4 and fly back like that. My goodness! Enjoy.

If you like beautiful scenery, then watch this!
I must admit I was blown away when I watched this video, partially because I took a similar flight near this are in April and also because it is one of my favourite parts of the Pacific Northwest to hike in.
The journey starts in Squamish, about a 40 minute drive from Vancouver and takes you over the Howe Sound and up around Mount Garibaldi, Whistler, Blackcomb Mountain and many more wonderful sights. Watch, watch, watch!!!!!!! This video is in one word - awesome;)

Orbx's new YMML, Melbourne International featuring the Airbus A320 X
Silky smooth framerates are the early reports. It's looking pretty impressive and will be probably released within the next couple of weeks according to the FTX forums. More than likely this will be the most detailed airport realsed for FSX to date. Enjoy!

The Ultimate FSX Rig - What money can buy (if you have lot's of it)
Recently I was asked by a reader of this site what would be the best PC you could buy for running FSX at the moment. This would be it - a combination of the i7 980X and the Nvidia GT 480. This video shows a stressful situation for your computer to handle - KJFK with 100% UT2 traffic using an add-on aircraft.

TUIFLY B737-700 & B737-800 - A Must See
This has to be one of my favourite real world aviation videos. The airport seen at the beginning is Innsbruck Austria and requires a sharp turn following take-off to avoid a pretty large mountain next to the airport. Awesome view from the cockpit. I hope you like it.

Flight of the Week - Absolutely Incredible Graphics
Here is a video I (the author this site) have made to accompany the 'Flight of the Week' section of this site found either by clicking on the the 'Flight of the Week' tab on the frontpage menu or directly by clicking on this link http://flightsimvideos.blogspot.com/p/flight-of-week.html which will provide you with a flight plan, screenshots and a detailed outline of the flight.
I think that the graphics in this video are particularly impressive, especially the water and sky textures. This is one of my favourite parts of the world to visit or fly in.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it. This video is best viewed in 1080p.

Orbx's Pacific Northwest = Absolutely Spectacular
If you own FSX and haven't already been convinced by the orbx videos I've posted then take a look at this one from 'orbxtube'. The scenery is incrdible. The music makes it even more dramatic. I let you in on a little secret. Pick some of your favourite tunes and play then in the background as you fly around PNW. It's awesome....
Great HD Footage from Manchester Airport

A Recommendation for the Posky 747-400 (freeware)
This new video from 'imthententertainer' shows just how good the Posky 747 model and sounds is.....and even better it's freeware. Thats a pretty good deal. The only complaint I ever see people having over the Posky freeware aircraft is how to install them but once you get over that (which is quite easy) it's definitely worth it.

'Cessna154' provides a more detailed insight into episode 15 which I posted yesterday on this blog.
Very Scary Real World Take-off from Concrete Municipal by Chris Palmer
One of my favourite airports in FSX is Concrete (Washington State, Pacific Northwest USA) using the scenery add-ons from Orbx for PNW and Concrete Municipal. One of the members from Orbx's forums Chris Palmer in the video below makes an extremely hair-raising take-off from runway 25 at concrete. Let's just say those trees nearly had themselves a trimmin'!
As a comparison, I have also included this video from 'gheeD' showing the same take-off (in the Carenado Cessna 185F Skywagon) from the FSX Orbx version of Concrete.

An old favourite - DX10 without the glitches showing
If only DX10 was this beautiful all the time in FSX. I use it know and again in a sort of love/hate relationship. I just can't stand the glitchy runways. A great video from 'valkyrie321'.
The video that sold me the i7
After seeing this video, there was no going back. Another great from 'ronaldcgriffin'. Fantastic sky/cloud textures from REX.

Introducing the L-39 Albatros from Lotus Simulation
I'm pretty sure the guy who developed this jet used to work from Electronic Arts and boy, does it show! The detail gone into this jet is unreal. It was the first aircraft in FSX to have rain drops on the VC and exterior icing effects which are visible. It flies like the real thing and must be managed with care so as not to experience the incredible number of failures that can occur if you choose to floy foolishly. FSX development at it's best.

PMDG Jetstream 4100 Turbo-Prop - A great bird to fly

A320 Landing in Ibiza - Great Scenary from Aerosoft
The Baleric Island add-ons from Aerosoft are some of the best scenert add-ons to date. This video from 'ronaldcgriffin' shows an excellent approach and landing on the island of Ibiza. Also shows the greatness of real environment xtreme as an add-on. You're cleared for landing! Enjoy:
FTX Australia - An introduction
I'm often asked about how my FSX scenery looks so good. One of the reasons is that I frequently use Orbx's scenery in my videos. It completley transforms the world of FSX. This video introduces FTX Australia (be aware that there are many more scenery packages available from Orbx now including coverage of the Pacific Northwest of the USA):
FTX Caloundra - One of my Favourite Sceneries
Another fantastic video from the talented 'Jigsaw407' showcasing the excellent Caloundra scenery produced by Orbx.
