Pacific Fjords from Orbx is comimg -Fantastic Preview
I'm looking foward to this release. It will extend the PNW coverage further north towards Alaska.
Sorry for another comment, but for the graphics card with the above, I was thinking of getting two GTX 70's in sli or a single GTX 80. Which is the better option? Two GTX 70's cost just a little more than one GTX 80 as they've had a pricedrop today. :)
I would go with the i7 950 and a gtx 480. FSX cannot use sli and in fact can reduce performance. The GTX 480 is by far the best graohics card available for FSX and i7's are the best processesor but make sure you overclock to at least 4ghz
If you have an i7 processor of any type, then the answer is yes. The 4870 is still very powerful and if this falls into your budget, then I wouldn't worry about performance. FSX is heavily processor dependent so the most important part of your setup is getting an i7. Graphics wise, you won't go wrong with the GTX 470 or 480.
Hi Steve, I just ordered and received a GTX670 and have been reading reviews, your's included, that recommend the 580. Should I ship mine back and order the 580 or stick with what I have?
I want to be able to run Aerosoft sceneries, ultimate traffic, REX, and PMDG aircraft. Would these specs be up to the task? I already have the HD, PSU, and GPU in hand. and I would love to go for the extreme hex core i7 if I had the money but until the price comes down, that's not out of the question.
